If coolant flow is detected with a pressure sensor, pressure may rise due to clogging, creating an uncertainty whether coolant is present or not. Low amounts of coolant cause scores and burns, which eventually lead to defective processing and result in large amounts of damage.
With FD-M Series flow sensors, the flow detection area contains no moving parts or obstacles. This completely uninterrupted design eliminates the possibility of debris clogging the mechanism, thus stabilizing coolant and strengthening the product quality of processed targets.
The FD-M Series uses Faraday's Law to determine the flow rate of conductive liquids.
