  • How does a reflected light microscope work?

    Reflected light microscopes illuminate an object from above and then use the lens to create an enlarged image. In contrast to a transmitted light microscope in which the object is illuminated from below. The object does not have to be very thin or translucent for the reflected light microscope. This type of microscope is often used for metallography or for more compact objects, such as insects.

  • Use the VHX digital microscope as a reflected light microscope:

    Digital microscopes also work with the aid of light. However, the enlarged image is viewed on a digital monitor instead of through eyepieces. The KEYENCE digital microscope enables magnifications from 0.1x to 6000x. This enables objects to be viewed, recorded and measured in high resolution. Objects can always be viewed in depth and from different angles in the live image. Numerous measurement functions for 2D and 3D images can be carried out directly on the microscope with just a few mouse clicks. In addition to basic functions such as transmitted light and incident light measurements, angle measurements or area measurements, advanced measurements such as particle or residual dirt analyzes according to the ISO standard are also possible.
